What Our Students Are Saying:

"I really enjoyed my Social Service Worker student placement with Bridge C-14. My supervisor empowered me to try new skills, like presenting at conferences and developing a training plan for new volunteers based on the MHCC peer support model. My favourite part of this experience was leading the various drop-ins and MAiD support groups and getting to establish relationships with members of the community. Their stories changed me in ways I didn't expect, and I know I'm a better person for holding and nourishing that space. The experience I gained during my 6 month placement not only informed my SSW practice, but also my approach to living (and dying) well."

"My internship with Bridge C-14 is invaluable in terms of being able to learn directly from people experiencing MAiD. I've had the opportunity to practice frontline facilitation and support skills as well as to think strategically about how to contribute to and improve the systems that touch the people we support. The supervision is thorough and compassionate. This internship is propelling me forward in my career, with the knowledge that I am making a contribution that actually makes a difference."
