Community Guidelines

Bridge C-14's online support groups are dedicated to helping families and loved ones who are facing MAiD to cope with adversity, grief and build community with those who have lived experience. We also seek to connect professionals and organizations who play a unique role in supporting individuals through their MAiD journey.

 

We are committed to the following Community Guidelines.

We encourage conversations that are focused on helping members throughout all stages of the MAiD process including:

  • Personal stories

  • Questions

  • Resources that you’ve found helpful

 

It is important that conversations around the sensitive topics discussed in this group are productive and respectful.

 

We ask all members to:

  • Share openly and honestly

  • React with empathy

  • Be respectful of opposing views

  • Foster meaningful and genuine interactions

  • Maintain a supportive environment

We do not allow the following:

  • Bullying, trolling or harassment

  • Inappropriate, vulgar, or abusive language

  • Solicitation from media or requests to share personal stories in the public eye

  • The promotion of prejudice, violence, or hatred against people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression

  • Threats or encouragements of violence against anyone, either seriously or humorously

  • Asking for or sharing medical or legal advice

  • Violations of privacy, including revealing information about others that they would not want to make public

  • The promotion of goods or services

  • Inappropriate conversation, as determined by the group moderators

  • Posting content that violates the copyrights and trademarks of others in online groups. If you’re unsure, please do not post

We reserve the right to remove members, suspend accounts, or remove posts, without notice and for any reason, to protect our community. If you see anyone violating these Community Guidelines or behaving in a way that makes you uncomfortable, please notify the group administrator.
